Prologue: The Love Drunkers Sims 4 Style, It's LD But Not As You Know It!

Remember Love Drunk? For those of you unfamiliar, here is the original Sims 3 version in all of it's (some of it unfinished) glory: Love Drunk & Love Drunk 2.0

Anyway, read on for a new take on the gang's adventures...

Dexter Maloney! Artist, singer, musician and all round general ladies man. Painting was his passion, music was his enjoyment, and girls were his hobby. Being in a band meant the world to him, so it was understandable that when his childhood friend and band mate Jeremy Price quit, leaving them a keyboard player down, Dex would be slightly peeved.

Enter Roxanne Harmon, a pretty young thing with a flair for ivory tinkling. It also helped that she was a fan of their band, Sweet Cacophony, formerly Deadly Nightshade...but Jeremy took more than his keyboard with him when he left, he stole their name too! Roxy passed the audition with flying colours, and having a female in the band appealed to not only Dex, but his other band mates as well.

Now once upon a time, the house the boys lived in used to be a very large clothing warehouse. Over the space of three years they converted it into a nice, albeit rather spacious, house for them to live in as a band and practice their songs...oh and write new ones too! Because it was so big, Dex had the wonderful idea of renting out the rooms they didn't use...

...to the likes of kooky Charlotte Kennedy who had fallen out with her mother and needed space from her, and also the cat sanctuary she ran. Yes Char was a little odd, but she cooked for the boys and cleaned too. She also had the knack of being very blunt and honest, which helped when Dexter needed a painting critiqued. She also brought two furry friends along with her, but the boys let that slide since she was such a perfect housemate.

When Roxy was recruited, she had one request. In order to join the band, she had to move in with the boys, but she already lived with her best friend. Lainie Robertson was a cook at the local fast food restaurant, and before Roxy joined the band, Lainie had managed to get her a job as a waitress. Lainie also muttered something about a "sweet cacophony" when the band were practicing, and the new band name was born, all thanks to a clumsy and awkward little cook. So Roxy requested that Lainie move in too, there was a spare room and quite honestly, she would never afford the rent without Roxy at their old place.

Dexter liked Lainie, he liked her a lot. Usually he had the attitude of like, ask out, date! Simple yeah? Nope, not with Lainie! He could barely string a sentence together when she was around...

...and when she moved in? They were like pre-teens with crushes, heads down and blushing! Neither able to speak, and everyone thought it was hilarious!

Ashton Maloney, Dexter's older brother and drummer in the band, was amused and frustrated by their antics. He wanted Dex to be happy, he'd just broken up with his girlfriend Rosalie and his paintings were a bit crappy lately. But Ash had his own problems, or problem...

...her name? Erin Daley! A groupie, but not a groupie. It was complicated! She followed the band around everywhere with her crazy friend Selena. But there was something different about Erin, something that Ash liked. And that was something he was mulling over right now.

Andrew Mitchell, Dexter's best friend and guitarist in the band, was in love with Charlotte! But through her eccentricities she hardly noticed how besotted he was. He lost his mother at a young age and his father, an alcoholic, took off and left him with his paternal grandfather who raised him. Despite this, Drew was a chirpy fella, and a genius to boot! Several degrees under his belt, a Phd, Doctor Mitchell invented things and he was the epitome of a mad scientist when he wasn't slammin' on his geetar!

And then there was Matthew Hayes, somewhat of an outsider. His whole background shrouded in mystery, he rocked up one day to claim Jeremy's old room. Where did he come from? What did he do for a living? Would Roxy ever say yes to a date? Who knows!

This is Love Drunk Sims 4 Style, yeah it's Love Drunk but not as you know it. I'm changing things up, mixing it all together and coming out with another...similar...story to the original. I'm going in blind and just going with the very slow flow, join me on this crazy ride and let's see what happens. If you loved the Sims 3 version, I sure hope you love this one!
